Need To Order: 1 26015A313 (bottom end tap - cuts a straight pitch / not
tapered) - about $55.00
Need To Order: 1 _________ (tappered plug tap)
Need To Order: 8 Coupling Nuts (22mm Diameter x 1.25 thread pitch)
Need To Order: 1 Standard Tap Handle (25605A79)
To order... (different project - but same order)
Need to order: 20375A21 (Thread gauge for bolts and nuts.)
Need to order: bolts and a bottoming tap to repair tippmann valves.
I need to tap and replace a bolt that is a 10/32 with one just a bit bigger (say
a 11/32
Pitch: .75 (10/32)
Length: 1/4" Long
Note: For ease of tapping it would be best to first thread the poles with a tapered plug tap and then go back through with a bottom end tap because with a bottom end tap you are cutting everything at once (If you just start right out with a straight tap you will not be able to gradually ease into the material being cut)
Important Question 1:
What would be the best way to accurately tap. Like, what is the way to hold
everything in place - tricks to use - clamps devices etc... I see a Tap that is
a Machine Mount With Guide (mcmaster.com #: 2550A67) that gives me an idea that
there may be a better way to thread my stock material perfectly straight instead
of getting catawampus / 'ski-haud' . I see a Standard Tap Driver (mcmaster.com
#: 2704A12) that looks like it would do a precise job, but it only goes up to
16mm and also i do not see how i would be about to clamp the Tube stock into it
from the bottom? is that something else you would need to buy?
Important Question 2:
So as to not damage the expensive taps; if the hole is a bit small then the
recommended pilot hole size suggested for a given tap, will you be a lot more
likely to damage the tap?
Would like to order one of these gauges latter: http://www.murraycorp.com/tri-guage-tool.html
But need to know first...
How do you determine pitch on a less common pitch.
Like you can have a 22m bolt with 1.0 1.25 1.50 2.0 or 2.5 thread pitch - where
are the thread pitch gauge things (teeth things for those odd in between sizes?)
Does it just cover some and not others? (more common only) If so is there a
thread pitch gage tool i can get that does have all of the pitch graduations on
it?

This company is very similar to the design I have - their "threaded connectors" are just a different type of thread. (more coarse - but same diameter)
I called (800) 643-0067 - they said I could order the "threaded connectors" directly from them for 1.00 each with a 8.00 shipping charge. They said they are only a small parts company not the manufacturer. The manufacturer they said is in china. They also said this is specifically a Lowes product and i could potentially have lowes special order the parts to possibly not need to pay the shipping.
